Narrative:

I began my taxi to the bwg active runway 21 and did not want to use all of the 6200 ft available. I was listening on the unicom frequency (123.00) and did not hear any other traffic. I took a quick look, saw no traffic, radioed my intentions, rapidly took the runway and began my intersection departure. Just as I reached takeoff speed, I saw a C150 or C152 slightly to my left and 50-100 ft above me. Obviously, I had cut in front of him during his landing or takeoff phase. Although a radio call from the other plane (if so equipped) would have helped in this situation, the prime cause was my impatience and carelessness. In the future I will use all the available runway, be certain that there is no landing or other aircraft taking off and remind myself that operations at busy, uncontrolled airports can be dangerous and need extra vigilance.

Title: THE PLT OF A C140 SAID THAT HE ENTERED RWY 21 AT AN INTXN IN ORDER TO TKOF WITHOUT REALIZING THAT A C150 WAS ON FINAL APCH FOR A LNDG. HE ESTIMATES THE MISS DISTANCE AT 50-100 FT.

Narrative: I BEGAN MY TAXI TO THE BWG ACTIVE RWY 21 AND DID NOT WANT TO USE ALL OF THE 6200 FT AVAILABLE. I WAS LISTENING ON THE UNICOM FREQ (123.00) AND DID NOT HEAR ANY OTHER TFC. I TOOK A QUICK LOOK, SAW NO TFC, RADIOED MY INTENTIONS, RAPIDLY TOOK THE RWY AND BEGAN MY INTXN DEP. JUST AS I REACHED TKOF SPD, I SAW A C150 OR C152 SLIGHTLY TO MY L AND 50-100 FT ABOVE ME. OBVIOUSLY, I HAD CUT IN FRONT OF HIM DURING HIS LNDG OR TKOF PHASE. ALTHOUGH A RADIO CALL FROM THE OTHER PLANE (IF SO EQUIPPED) WOULD HAVE HELPED IN THIS SIT, THE PRIME CAUSE WAS MY IMPATIENCE AND CARELESSNESS. IN THE FUTURE I WILL USE ALL THE AVAILABLE RWY, BE CERTAIN THAT THERE IS NO LNDG OR OTHER ACFT TAKING OFF AND REMIND MYSELF THAT OPS AT BUSY, UNCTLED ARPTS CAN BE DANGEROUS AND NEED EXTRA VIGILANCE.
