Narrative:
During preflight duties as I was getting the clearance the captain was interrupted by the agent with a security issue. I copied to clearance with directions to climb to 1500 ft and then turn left to 180 degrees. There were also route of flight changes. As we reviewed the clearance afterward on the short taxi-out we were again distracted by light aircraft taxiing ahead of us for takeoff. After our takeoff, we initiated the turn prior to 1500 ft while looking for the light traffic which had taken off before us. The controller requested that in the future we turn at 1500 ft. The 10-7 pages and teh 10- 3 pages make no mention of this requirement. In the future, I will insure that the captain is able to listen to the full clearance or have clearance delivery read it back when the captain can listen to the full clearance if not received via pre departure clearance. Title: MD80 FLC FAILS TO FOLLOW DEP PROC AT LGB ARPT. CREW WERE DISTRACTED AT THE RAMP WHILE CLRNC WAS ISSUED. FO FAILED TO PASS THE CORRECT INFO TO THE PIC, PF.
Narrative: DURING PREFLT DUTIES AS I WAS GETTING THE CLRNC THE CAPT WAS INTERRUPTED BY THE AGENT WITH A SECURITY ISSUE. I COPIED TO CLRNC WITH DIRECTIONS TO CLB TO 1500 FT AND THEN TURN L TO 180 DEGS. THERE WERE ALSO RTE OF FLT CHANGES. AS WE REVIEWED THE CLRNC AFTERWARD ON THE SHORT TAXI-OUT WE WERE AGAIN DISTRACTED BY LIGHT ACFT TAXIING AHEAD OF US FOR TKOF. AFTER OUR TKOF, WE INITIATED THE TURN PRIOR TO 1500 FT WHILE LOOKING FOR THE LIGHT TFC WHICH HAD TAKEN OFF BEFORE US. THE CTLR REQUESTED THAT IN THE FUTURE WE TURN AT 1500 FT. THE 10-7 PAGES AND TEH 10- 3 PAGES MAKE NO MENTION OF THIS REQUIREMENT. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL INSURE THAT THE CAPT IS ABLE TO LISTEN TO THE FULL CLRNC OR HAVE CLRNC DELIVERY READ IT BACK WHEN THE CAPT CAN LISTEN TO THE FULL CLRNC IF NOT RECEIVED VIA PDC.
