In sum: reporter was flying his first lifeguard flight. He rushed himself. There was another pilot in the cockpit who he relied on not knowing this other person only had about 100 hours total. He was having a problem with headset which had an intermittent fault. He thought he heard takeoff clearance. He asked other pilot who confirmed takeoff clearance. He took off without clearance.

Title: C421A EMS PLT TOOK OFF AND PENETRATED PNS'S AIRSPACE WITHOUT CLRNC BECAUSE HIS HEADSET WAS INTERMITTENT AND HE GOT FAULTY HELP FROM ANOTHER PLT, NOT A CREW MEMBER, IN THE COCKPIT.

Narrative: IN SUM: RPTR WAS FLYING HIS FIRST LIFEGUARD FLT. HE RUSHED HIMSELF. THERE WAS ANOTHER PLT IN THE COCKPIT WHO HE RELIED ON NOT KNOWING THIS OTHER PERSON ONLY HAD ABOUT 100 HRS TOTAL.
