Narrative:
May/thu/97 departure radar north icss (communication) system went out at XA15Z. At XA30Z rcc advised of significant outage. May/fri/97 at YB00Z icss remains OTS. This has caused a reconfign of departure radar position. Controllers are working in areas that are nonstandard. All frequencys remain available. At YB00Z on may/fri/97 it is planned to close 2 operating position and release posco #? To maintenance. We already have taken away the ability to open 1 of 4 departure radar position and the additional position could severely overload the departure radar controller. The problem was fixed at YB25Z.
