Narrative:
My aircraft was holding short of intersection H. The small twin engine aircraft was given cleared for takeoff from the end of runway 1L. I was then given taxi into position and hold. As I crossed the hold short line at intersection H, I saw the aircraft coming from my right. I immediately stepped on the brakes bringing my aircraft to a quick stop. The tower warned the commuter aircraft to abort the takeoff causing him to stop in front of us. This was a very busy morning the tower was landing runway 28L&right and departing runway 01L&right. A lot of aircraft were in the approach path, and on the ground awaiting takeoff clearance. The tower was very busy and in a hurry.

Title: ATCT LCL CTLR CLRED A COMMUTER FOR TKOF RWY 1L AND THEN CLRED THE MLG TO TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD ON THE SAME RWY. THE COMMUTER WAS STARTING TKOF FROM THE ENTRY AT TXWY M AND THE MLG WAS AT TXWY H WHERE THE RWY BEGINS. THE MLG CROSSED THE HOLD LINE AND SAW THE COMMUTER TO HIS R AS HE CROSSED THE HOLD LINE AND TWR TOLD IT TO ABORT. ACFT STOPPED 100 FT APART.

AS I CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE AT INTXN H, I SAW THE ACFT COMING FROM MY R. I IMMEDIATELY STEPPED ON THE BRAKES BRINGING MY ACFT TO A QUICK STOP. THE TWR WARNED THE COMMUTER ACFT TO ABORT THE TKOF CAUSING HIM TO STOP IN FRONT OF US. THIS WAS A VERY BUSY MORNING THE TWR WAS LNDG RWY 28L&R AND DEPARTING RWY 01L&R.
