Narrative:
As a commuter, our flight was delayed trying to depart jhw. We had close connections and were trying to depart as soon as possible. Erie approach gave us a clearance but told us to hold for release and asked how long of a delay we expected. We said 1 min. We completed all checklists and departed uneventfully, but never called back for a release clearance. No ATC action was taken and the flight was completed uneventfully.
