Narrative:
In descent from FL280 to FL260, had RA at approximately FL270. Traffic visually acquired by first officer. Captain followed RA. When conflict resolved, annunciator stated monitor vertical speed. Vsi red band at approximately 4000-5000 FPM descent. Captain continued descent keeping vsi above red area. Stopped descent at FL255 and returned to FL260.

Narrative: IN DSCNT FROM FL280 TO FL260, HAD RA AT APPROX FL270. TFC VISUALLY ACQUIRED BY FO. CAPT FOLLOWED RA. WHEN CONFLICT RESOLVED, ANNUNCIATOR STATED MONITOR VERT SPD. VSI RED BAND AT APPROX 4000-5000 FPM DSCNT. CAPT CONTINUED DSCNT KEEPING VSI ABOVE RED AREA. STOPPED DSCNT AT FL255 AND RETURNED TO FL260.
