Narrative:

En route smx to smo. Right wing became extremely heavy. I almost went inverted and had to move control wheel to left to avoid this. All airports were socked in with fog along my route. I did not declare an emergency but became distraction with flying the plane and entered burbank's class C airspace. I saw that my HSI showed me leaving smo and immediately made a 180 degree turn and landed at smo. I was not aware I was in class C airspace until so informed by the controller.
