Narrative:
As lead mechanic, I am responsible for completion of paperwork and logbooks. On the above date I neglected to sign the airworthiness release block in the logbook. The aircraft was completed and ready for service, the omission was due to a backlog of paperwork at end of shift.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED WITHOUT THE MAINT RELEASE SIGNED IN THE LOGBOOK.
Narrative: AS LEAD MECH, I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLETION OF PAPERWORK AND LOGBOOKS. ON THE ABOVE DATE I NEGLECTED TO SIGN THE AIRWORTHINESS RELEASE BLOCK IN THE LOGBOOK. THE ACFT WAS COMPLETED AND READY FOR SVC, THE OMISSION WAS DUE TO A BACKLOG OF PAPERWORK AT END OF SHIFT.
