Narrative:
On a routine aerial survey flight in a helicopter (206B) we were filming (myself and film director) the statue of liberty, making overhead passes. On one particular pass we flew too close to the monument, not realizing how low and close we were, I immediately took evasive action to avoid a collision and added power and flew off with a right bank turn. Contributing factor: preoccupied with filming rather than flying the aircraft.
