Narrative:
During routine (scheduled annual inspection) on this aircraft, engines were started and operated for several mins with no oil in them. Better use of checklists would clearly have prevented this mishap.

Title: A FIXED WING SMT UNDERGOING SCHEDULED ANNUAL CHK INCURRED DAMAGE TO L AND R ENGS WHEN OPERATED WITHOUT LUBRICATING OIL.
Narrative: DURING ROUTINE (SCHEDULED ANNUAL INSPECTION) ON THIS ACFT, ENGS WERE STARTED AND OPERATED FOR SEVERAL MINS WITH NO OIL IN THEM. BETTER USE OF CHKLISTS WOULD CLRLY HAVE PREVENTED THIS MISHAP.
