Narrative:
Upon landing at dfw the cockpit informed the crew of a possible engine problem. During this time smoke/fire was reported coming from the right engine. The fire was extinguished immediately by dfw emergency crews. Passenger were deplaned using the forward entry door and a ramp stand. As a result of our light passenger load and the professionalism of the cockpit crew and cabin crew, this situation was handled swiftly and calmly.

Title: CABIN ATTENDANT RPTS ORDERLY EVAC OF A SUPER MD80 AFTER LNDG CAUSED BY AN ENG FIRE WHICH WAS EXTINGUISHED BY ARPT EMER FIRE AND RESCUE PERSONNEL.
Narrative: UPON LNDG AT DFW THE COCKPIT INFORMED THE CREW OF A POSSIBLE ENG PROB. DURING THIS TIME SMOKE/FIRE WAS RPTED COMING FROM THE R ENG. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED IMMEDIATELY BY DFW EMER CREWS. PAX WERE DEPLANED USING THE FORWARD ENTRY DOOR AND A RAMP STAND. AS A RESULT OF OUR LIGHT PAX LOAD AND THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THE COCKPIT CREW AND CABIN CREW, THIS SIT WAS HANDLED SWIFTLY AND CALMLY.
