Narrative:

The work release on jun/xx/97 called for the left engine oil filter to be changed on aircraft. I replaced the left engine oil filter per maintenance manual. The leak check was good. I ran the engine for 5-7 mins at idle. Everything was done legal and by the manual. The new o-ring that comes with the filter change kits does not fit snug between the gear box and the sleeve. The o-ring between the sleeve and the filter cap fits well. I have heard of this problem from several mechanics when changing the new type of filter cap assembly.
