Narrative:
The radar approach control is located on barksdale AFB. Our power to the building is less than adequate. We experience numerous power fluctuations and unscheduled power outages. When severe WX is in the area approaching the radar site, we turn on the engine generator in order to ensure uninterrupted power should the commercial electricity fail. On the date indicated above, we were unable to start the generator. We had WX approaching the radar site.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: CTLR SAYS THAT THE STANDBY GENERATOR WOULDN'T START WHEN WX WAS APCHING THE AREA. STATES THAT THIS IS AN ONGOING PROB.
