Narrative:

The flight was a scheduled passenger flight from jfk to sju. The clearance was jfk-shipp-linnd-didle-downt-A300-ddp NDB-sju. The aircraft is equipped with a single omega. After departure the omega was checked for accuracy and found ok for navigation. After about 1 1/2 hours of flight we started receiving bda VOR. We became suspicious of a navigation error. Our position was 180 NM, 310 degree radial from bda, approximately 80 NM east of course. The omega was updated, new york arinc was advised and ZNY got us on radar. We were cleared direct to holma intersection. At this time we started to receive ddp NDB. On arrival in sju the omega was written up in the logbook. Contributing factors to the navigation error are the use of a single omega. The omega may not have had the right wind, and then the jetstream could easily have made the aircraft drift the 80 NM.

Title: A300 B4 ACFT OMEGA NAV WAS IN ERROR ENRTE. FLC REALIZED IT AFTER RECEIVING THEIR DEST VOR. RPTR CAPT BELIEVES IT MAY HAVE BEEN ATTRIBUTED TO ERRONEOUS WIND IN THE OMEGA.
