Narrative:
Enclosed is a copy of an aircraft maintenance/flight log page. I inherited the aircraft with discrepancies #1 and #2 and corrective action #1 listed. I was concerned about the wording of the second write-up, so I called the supervisor. A conference call was set up between the supervisor, the chief pilot, the maintenance coordinator (who just came on duty) and myself. After a long discussion, the chief pilot said to get contract maintenance to correct the logbook problem or to ferry the aircraft to one of our maintenance stations. We ended up ferrying the aircraft. Then maintenance entered corrective action #2 and discrepancies #3. Several days later I found out from another maintenance person that corrective action #1 is not correct for discrepancy #1. Also our safety representative says maintenance cannot write informational write-ups. Maintenance says they can write informational write- ups. I have been promised an official answer on the write-ups but have not received one yet.

Narrative: ENCLOSED IS A COPY OF AN ACFT MAINT/FLT LOG PAGE. I INHERITED THE ACFT WITH DISCREPANCIES #1 AND #2 AND CORRECTIVE ACTION #1 LISTED. I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE WORDING OF THE SECOND WRITE-UP, SO I CALLED THE SUPVR. A CONFERENCE CALL WAS SET UP BTWN THE SUPVR, THE CHIEF PLT, THE MAINT COORDINATOR (WHO JUST CAME ON DUTY) AND MYSELF. AFTER A LONG DISCUSSION, THE CHIEF PLT SAID TO GET CONTRACT MAINT TO CORRECT THE LOGBOOK PROB OR TO FERRY THE ACFT TO ONE OF OUR MAINT STATIONS. WE ENDED UP FERRYING THE ACFT. THEN MAINT ENTERED CORRECTIVE ACTION #2 AND DISCREPANCIES #3. SEVERAL DAYS LATER I FOUND OUT FROM ANOTHER MAINT PERSON THAT CORRECTIVE ACTION #1 IS NOT CORRECT FOR DISCREPANCY #1. ALSO OUR SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE SAYS MAINT CANNOT WRITE INFORMATIONAL WRITE-UPS. MAINT SAYS THEY CAN WRITE INFORMATIONAL WRITE- UPS. I HAVE BEEN PROMISED AN OFFICIAL ANSWER ON THE WRITE-UPS BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED ONE YET.
