Narrative:
Departed roa on IFR flight plan to syi. 1 hour into flight at 6000 ft, engine became rough. In-flight action ineffective and advised tri approach of need to land. Turned to, and landed tri without problem. Arranged for mechanic to check plane. Small amount of dirt found in fuel injector. Cleaned and thorough high power engine check showed all ok. Signed off for return to flight. Departed tri IFR plan to syi. 15 mins later, rough engine returned. Advised tys approach control and landed without incident. Action taken to land early in rough engine problem may have prevented further problem. ATC at tri and tys were very helpful and professional. Emergency equipment was rolled at tys. Aircraft on ground being thoroughly checked.
