Narrative:

Single pilot operation with autoplt engaged. Altitude select was in use and set at 10000 ft. Altitude hold did not engage at 10000 ft. I was busy with other cockpit duties and by the time I looked at the altitude, I was at 10350 ft. Immediately descended to the assigned altitude of 10000 ft. No communication was made by either myself or control regarding the altitude deviation. Same old story of single pilot operation, trust in an autoplt.
