Narrative:
'X' air carrier has installed a 'windshear warn/caution' light system under the cockpit glare shield, left and right side in the cockpit of its DC9's. On some DC9's the glare shields are at slightly different position causing the 'windshear warn/caution' light bracket to interfere with the pilot's hand if using full control movement, the very kind of control movement one might need during a windshear encounter. Air carrier 'X' DC9-50 number 'a' is a good example of this problem -- there are several others. I have contacted the company about this problem, but they are apparently reluctant to do anything.
