Narrative:
Dfw approach control gave vectors for a tight and high ILS to runway 35R. The direction of landing had just been changed from south lndgs. Approach requested to advise when field in sight for a visual. Due to clouds and haze, visual on runway 35R was not seen until rolling out on the high final. 'Visual contact runway 35R' was stated by me and cleared visual approach to runway 35R was given 'traffic on runway 35C' was given by approach. A steep final was performed and normal safe landing made. Approach never changed us to tower, which we realized after clearing the runway when preparing for taxi. No traffic conflict was involved and all was normal. After contacting tower for runway crossing of runways 35C and 35L tower stated 'we've been looking for you.'
