Narrative:
Ground control cleared aircraft to runway 34. Pilot was expecting clearance to runway 16. While he heard runway 34 and repeated runway 34 he taxied to taxiway a intersection for runway 16. The tower controller told him that he was at runway 16 but did not request him to taxi to runway 34. Eventually, the tower cleared him for takeoff. During takeoff, the tower controller stated that he had taken off on the wrong runway and requested that he offset to the right for traffic.
