Narrative:
Was requested to maintain FL190 by ZAB. Climbing out of FL180, failed to set altimeter to 29.92. ZAB advised us to set altimeter to 29.92 and maintain FL190. As a result of not changing altimeters, we were 300-400 ft off our assigned altitude. Contributing factors were talking to company on frequency while climbing through FL180.

Title: AN LTT FLC OVERSHOT THEIR ASSIGNED ALT WHEN THEY FAILED TO SET THEIR ALTIMETER TO 29 PT 92 AFTER PASSING FL180. CTLR CATCHES ERROR AND REMINDS THEM OF THEIR OVERSIGHT.
Narrative: WAS REQUESTED TO MAINTAIN FL190 BY ZAB. CLBING OUT OF FL180, FAILED TO SET ALTIMETER TO 29.92. ZAB ADVISED US TO SET ALTIMETER TO 29.92 AND MAINTAIN FL190. AS A RESULT OF NOT CHANGING ALTIMETERS, WE WERE 300-400 FT OFF OUR ASSIGNED ALT. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS WERE TALKING TO COMPANY ON FREQ WHILE CLBING THROUGH FL180.
