Narrative:
At cruise, copilot's briefcase light started to smolder with a pungent odor. We donned oxygen masks, extinguished smoldering light housing, and pulled the appropriate circuit breaker. No other equipment was affected, actions taken eliminated smoldering and odor. We requested priority handling and landed uneventfully at destination airport, sjc.
