Narrative:

At 18500 ft during descent ZTL amended our cleared altitude from 11000 to 17000 ft and called traffic at 12 O'clock position, 8 mi. Visually acquired traffic (ATR) 12 O'clock position moving left to right at 16000 ft. ATC advised 'maintain visual separation, descend to 11000 ft.' we turned slightly left to increase separation and continued descent. TCASII TA followed by RA as we crossed altitudes. ATR complained to ZTL that we came too close based on their TCASII. Visual contact was maintained by us through the entire encounter and no danger was perceived based on good visual separation.

Title: FLC OF F100 IS ISSUED TFC WHICH IS SIGHTED. THEY ARE INSTRUCTED TO MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION WITH SECOND ACFT AND TURN TO PASS BEHIND IT. FLC OF ATR, SECOND ACFT, COMPLAIN BECAUSE OF TCASII INDICATION THAT TFC WAS TOO CLOSE.

Narrative: AT 18500 FT DURING DSCNT ZTL AMENDED OUR CLRED ALT FROM 11000 TO 17000 FT AND CALLED TFC AT 12 O'CLOCK POS, 8 MI. VISUALLY ACQUIRED TFC (ATR) 12 O'CLOCK POS MOVING L TO R AT 16000 FT. ATC ADVISED 'MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION, DSND TO 11000 FT.' WE TURNED SLIGHTLY L TO INCREASE SEPARATION AND CONTINUED DSCNT. TCASII TA FOLLOWED BY RA AS WE CROSSED ALTS. ATR COMPLAINED TO ZTL THAT WE CAME TOO CLOSE BASED ON THEIR TCASII. VISUAL CONTACT WAS MAINTAINED BY US THROUGH THE ENTIRE ENCOUNTER AND NO DANGER WAS PERCEIVED BASED ON GOOD VISUAL SEPARATION.
