Misunderstood ground control to taxi in sequence to follow other aircraft to runway 8R. Ground control later said we did not have taxi clearance. (He might have said standby for sequence.) supplemental information from acn 380983: we understood him to say 'in sequence behind other air carrier xyz' and read back our call sign, air carrier xxz.' and we proceeded to taxi onto taxiway F behind another air carrier aircraft.
