Narrative:
Passenger emotionally upsetting flight attendants. After sterile period first flight attendant reported to cockpit about a passenger in coach that informed her that he would like to talk to her and the captain about takeoff procedures. The flight attendants were visibly upset with this passenger's remark to the extent that it affected their duties. At this point the passenger never idented himself. As far as the cockpit is concerned all takeoff PA's and flight attendants' duties were normal. After landing at the gate, the above mentioned passenger approached myself and the flight attendants. He stated that he was a former FAA inspector but is now an aviation consultant. He then stated that he has friends in the FAA and he will report to them that the flight attendants had improper takeoff procedures. Once again to my knowledge all procedures were followed correctly. This passenger did not work for the FAA.
