Narrative:
On descent from flight level cruise, this crew failed to level off at the assigned altitude of 10000 ft. The altimeter was not reset to local pressure during the descent. Local altimeter was 29.52, resulting in an altitude deviation of 500 ft. Contributing factors: one inexperienced crew member, training environment, unusually large number of heading, altitude and navigation fix changes from ATC.

Title: FLC OF AN MLG FAILED TO RESET ALTIMETER WHEN DSNDING FROM HIGH ALT RESULTING IN AN ALT OVERSHOOT.
Narrative: ON DSCNT FROM FLT LEVEL CRUISE, THIS CREW FAILED TO LEVEL OFF AT THE ASSIGNED ALT OF 10000 FT. THE ALTIMETER WAS NOT RESET TO LCL PRESSURE DURING THE DSCNT. LCL ALTIMETER WAS 29.52, RESULTING IN AN ALTDEV OF 500 FT. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: ONE INEXPERIENCED CREW MEMBER, TRAINING ENVIRONMENT, UNUSUALLY LARGE NUMBER OF HDG, ALT AND NAV FIX CHANGES FROM ATC.
