Narrative:
Cleared for takeoff on runway 23L, turned onto runway 28, and started takeoff. I realized it was wrong runway and aborted at about 60 KTS in a mild, slow brake application abort. Turned aircraft around on runway and proceeded back to runway 23L and executed takeoff. Runway 28 was not in use at time and was lighted. I feel my error in judgement was contributed by being called at home on a day off to take flight, and with little sleep, I had been without sleep for 20 hours at the time of abort and continued on for another 2 1/2 hours -- I was tired!
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN ACR LGT FLC STARTED A TKOF ON RWY 28 INSTEAD OF RWY 23L AT CLE. BOTH THE FLC AND THE ATCT LCL CTLR CALLED 'ABORT' AND A LOW SPD REJECT WAS PERFORMED.
