Narrative:
While flying in an open air gyroplane in the macon, GA, area the craft/engine experienced carburetor ice. Being in an area with open field (athletic area), I landed the craft without injury to persons or property. No damage was done to the craft. An inspection was performed and discovered that carburetor ice was the contributing factor. Aircraft was flown out of the area and 3 mi to the airport it's based at. Actions taken were safe, and precautions were taken at all times.
