Narrative:
On pushback ramp control had us pushed into the middle of a large group of aircraft. The ground crew were rushing to disconnect from the aircraft and leave. Meanwhile ramp control was rushing us to turn out and clear the area. This caused us to rush and omit the after start checklist. The error was not caught until after lift-off at which time I saw that the generators were not on line. I corrected the situation and completed the items necessary. Also the error was not caught, or was not vocalized by the first officer or either jump seat rider.
