Narrative:
FAA inspector wanted to situation in jump seat. Oxygen mask microphone inoperative (jump seat considered unusable). I pointed this out to the captain and FAA. The FAA guy said he really wanted to check out the operation. The captain let him. This is a very uncomfortable situation for all. I was afraid if I raised too much more of a fuss I'd get myself in trouble.

Title: AN ACR MLG FLC RPTS THAT AN FAA ACR INSPECTOR RODE IN THEIR JUMP SEAT WITH A KNOWN INOP OXYGEN MASK MIKE. FOR OPERATIONAL PURPOSES THE MASK WAS CONSIDERED UNUSABLE. HOWEVER, THE INSPECTOR AND THE CAPT AGREED THAT IT WAS PERMISSIBLE TO DISREGARD THE MASK PROB.
Narrative: FAA INSPECTOR WANTED TO SIT IN JUMP SEAT. OXYGEN MASK MIKE INOP (JUMP SEAT CONSIDERED UNUSABLE). I POINTED THIS OUT TO THE CAPT AND FAA. THE FAA GUY SAID HE REALLY WANTED TO CHK OUT THE OP. THE CAPT LET HIM. THIS IS A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SIT FOR ALL. I WAS AFRAID IF I RAISED TOO MUCH MORE OF A FUSS I'D GET MYSELF IN TROUBLE.
