Narrative:
Missed crossing restr by 1000 ft over the ocn VOR. First officer was flying and we were given 5000 ft descent (out of 19000 ft for 14000 ft) with 10 mi to go. First officer does not have a lot of experience and I did not prompt him enough.

Narrative: MISSED XING RESTR BY 1000 FT OVER THE OCN VOR. FO WAS FLYING AND WE WERE GIVEN 5000 FT DSCNT (OUT OF 19000 FT FOR 14000 FT) WITH 10 MI TO GO. FO DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE AND I DID NOT PROMPT HIM ENOUGH.
