A BE36 reported the engine running rough when feeding fuel from the right tank. Right tank fueling lid hard to open and close and appeared to be leaking fuel and allowing fuel tank contamination.

Narrative:
Aircraft ran rough when switched to right fuel tank. Ran ok when switched to left tank. Fuel lid had been opening and closing hard. Appears fuel leaked out of cap during flight. When fuel caps close hard would suggest replacing them.
