Narrative:
Lost communication flying from oly to cmi. I squawked 7700 to notify ATC that I had a problem, but in the hurry of getting the problem cured I failed to squawk 7600. After landing at cmi, the fire department called and said they were put at standby due to my failure to squawk 7600.

Title: PLT OF A ROCKWELL TURBOPROP AERO COMMANDER LOST COM AFTER ENTERING CLASS C AIRSPACE AND INADVERTENTLY SQUAWKED THE EMER CODE AND NOT THE APPROPRIATE CODE FOR LOST COMS. AS A RESULT, THE EMER FIRE RESCUE VEHICLES MET RPTR UPON LNDG.
Narrative: LOST COM FLYING FROM OLY TO CMI. I SQUAWKED 7700 TO NOTIFY ATC THAT I HAD A PROB, BUT IN THE HURRY OF GETTING THE PROB CURED I FAILED TO SQUAWK 7600. AFTER LNDG AT CMI, THE FIRE DEPT CALLED AND SAID THEY WERE PUT AT STANDBY DUE TO MY FAILURE TO SQUAWK 7600.
