Narrative:
Aircraft temporary registration expired. Date on registration was slightly unreadable and was flown with the expired registration. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft was a champion citabria and was a rental aircraft. The reporter said that the registration was not checked until the aircraft was in-flight. The reporter stated the FAA has made no contact with the reporter.

Title: A CHAMPION CITABRIA WAS OPERATED WITH THE ACFT REGISTRATION EXPIRED.
Narrative: ACFT TEMPORARY REGISTRATION EXPIRED. DATE ON REGISTRATION WAS SLIGHTLY UNREADABLE AND WAS FLOWN WITH THE EXPIRED REGISTRATION. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ACFT WAS A CHAMPION CITABRIA AND WAS A RENTAL ACFT. THE RPTR SAID THAT THE REGISTRATION WAS NOT CHKED UNTIL THE ACFT WAS INFLT. THE RPTR STATED THE FAA HAS MADE NO CONTACT WITH THE RPTR.
