Narrative:
We were instructed by air carrier ramp, which has partial jurisdiction over some txwys, to taxi via taxiway a, to follow company aircraft ahead and hold short of taxiway Q. (During this time we monitored cle ground control on frequency 121.7.) in the process of taxiing and looking for taxiway Q (which was at night, in the rain, and not marked) we taxied onto taxiway left. A more precise clearance should have been given as the initial instruction. Such as 'taxi on taxiway a, hold short of taxiway right.' (taxiway right does intersect taxiway a head-on.) as a note: according to commercial chart 10-7A for cle, dated jun/xx/95, diagram 2, taxiway Q is not depicted. Also as a note: taxiway Q intersects taxiway a at an extreme diverse angle that can be, and was, easily missed! After having a chance to taxi down taxiway a to the area of taxiway Q, on a night with no rain, good visibility, it should be noted that there are no taxiway markings for taxiway Q, neither illuminated nor unilluminated! The FAA and the city of cle (airports) should mark their txwys clearly and understandably! By the admission of the ramp controller and the tower supervisor (cle FAA) taxiway Q is not marked traveling nwbound on taxiway a.

Title: AN ACR MLG ACFT TAXIING WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY Q, FLC UNABLE TO DISTINGUISH TXWY Q DUE TO LACK OF TXWY MARKING AND RAIN.
Narrative: WE WERE INSTRUCTED BY ACR RAMP, WHICH HAS PARTIAL JURISDICTION OVER SOME TXWYS, TO TAXI VIA TXWY A, TO FOLLOW COMPANY ACFT AHEAD AND HOLD SHORT OF TXWY Q. (DURING THIS TIME WE MONITORED CLE GND CTL ON FREQ 121.7.) IN THE PROCESS OF TAXIING AND LOOKING FOR TXWY Q (WHICH WAS AT NIGHT, IN THE RAIN, AND NOT MARKED) WE TAXIED ONTO TXWY L. A MORE PRECISE CLRNC SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN AS THE INITIAL INSTRUCTION. SUCH AS 'TAXI ON TXWY A, HOLD SHORT OF TXWY R.' (TXWY R DOES INTERSECT TXWY A HEAD-ON.) AS A NOTE: ACCORDING TO COMMERCIAL CHART 10-7A FOR CLE, DATED JUN/XX/95, DIAGRAM 2, TXWY Q IS NOT DEPICTED. ALSO AS A NOTE: TXWY Q INTERSECTS TXWY A AT AN EXTREME DIVERSE ANGLE THAT CAN BE, AND WAS, EASILY MISSED! AFTER HAVING A CHANCE TO TAXI DOWN TXWY A TO THE AREA OF TXWY Q, ON A NIGHT WITH NO RAIN, GOOD VISIBILITY, IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THERE ARE NO TXWY MARKINGS FOR TXWY Q, NEITHER ILLUMINATED NOR UNILLUMINATED! THE FAA AND THE CITY OF CLE (ARPTS) SHOULD MARK THEIR TXWYS CLRLY AND UNDERSTANDABLY! BY THE ADMISSION OF THE RAMP CTLR AND THE TWR SUPVR (CLE FAA) TXWY Q IS NOT MARKED TRAVELING NWBOUND ON TXWY A.
