Narrative:
Due to lack of communications between our training department and crew scheduling (far 121 air carrier), I was taken off my scheduled recurrent ground school during my 'grace month' to fly a trip. I, in my ignorance, believed that the director of crew scheduling and his deputies knew what they were doing and accepted the assignment. I was never reassigned ground school during the grace month and now the company is trying to repair the damage by 're-indexing' the 'due month,' etc. It is perhaps up to the lawyers to define the FARS as to what should be done, but I suspect I may have to take the whole initial training course, and in the mean time I would not be legal to fly. How to prevent this kind of potential violation in the future: give crew schedulers less power and more common sense.
