Narrative:

During cruise flight at FL190 a 'duct leakage' light illuminated on mode annunciator panel followed by an aural warning. Following the procedures outlined in the E120 'QRH' the #1 engine was shut down and the flight was diverted to the nearest suitable airport in point of time. As it turned out the cause of the warning light was a duct sensor that had separated from its weld point and was intermittently losing its ground contact.
