Narrative:
During slam dunk to runway 35C in IMC, and told to expect side step to runway 35L, was unable to get visual on field close enough for safe approach. Executed missed approach at about 2500 ft AGL. Tower directed maintain 3000 ft. In climb, captain called out 3000 ft, but I ballooned through and reached about 3400 ft before getting back down to 3000 ft. Problem was caused by my slow reaction to change in expected missed approach altitude as approach plate missed approach altitude called for 4000 ft, and having no qnh altimeter on right side to facilitate scan as the altimeter was set to QFE. My brain was thinking climb to missed approach altitude, when in fact we just needed to maintain what we had or descend a bit. No conflicts were reported and no TCASII warnings were given. No excuses are intended. I should have done a better job of flying the missed approach.

Title: B757 ACFT ON APCH WAS HIGH AND FAST IN IMC WITH EXPECT TO SIDE STEP TO PARALLEL RWY. RPTR FO, RECOGNIZING HE WAS TOO HIGH AND FAST TO CONTINUE A SAFE APCH, COMMENDED A MISSED APCH, THEN OVERSHOT THE TWR ASSIGNED ALT WHICH WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE PUBLISHED MISSED APCH ALT.
