Narrative:
ATC clearance given and accepted, meade 1 peach springs transition direct tbc as filed maintain 7000 ft expect 17000 ft in 2 mins, departure 133.95. Aircraft departed runway 1L, upon positioning on runway for takeoff we were given a heading of 'right turn heading 060 degrees for traffic cleared for takeoff.' after takeoff tower requested right turn immediately and contact departure control. Upon contacting departure we received clearance for unrestr climb to 17000 ft. We continued to climb and proceeded on SID which was right turn out of 4000 ft direct bld VOR, as published. Received TA alert and 15 seconds later a turn left to heading 360 degrees and a traffic callout by departure. When clear of traffic another command by ATC to a heading of 110 degrees to intercept the 108 degree radial from bld VOR and continue on SID. Then asked by ATC if we were given a radar vector on takeoff. We replied we were given a heading of 060 degrees after takeoff, no other directional commands. We were requested by ATC to call them collect. Since we were not told to maintain heading or radar vectors, we followed published SID as previously cleared.

Title: B727 FLC TURNED FROM THE ASSIGNED DEP HEADING TO JOIN THE SID. VECTOR WAS ISSUED BY THE LCL CTLR FOR TFC.
Narrative: ATC CLRNC GIVEN AND ACCEPTED, MEADE 1 PEACH SPRINGS TRANSITION DIRECT TBC AS FILED MAINTAIN 7000 FT EXPECT 17000 FT IN 2 MINS, DEP 133.95. ACFT DEPARTED RWY 1L, UPON POSITIONING ON RWY FOR TKOF WE WERE GIVEN A HEADING OF 'R TURN HEADING 060 DEGS FOR TFC CLRED FOR TKOF.' AFTER TKOF TWR REQUESTED R TURN IMMEDIATELY AND CONTACT DEP CTL. UPON CONTACTING DEP WE RECEIVED CLRNC FOR UNRESTR CLB TO 17000 FT. WE CONTINUED TO CLB AND PROCEEDED ON SID WHICH WAS R TURN OUT OF 4000 FT DIRECT BLD VOR, AS PUBLISHED. RECEIVED TA ALERT AND 15 SECONDS LATER A TURN L TO HDG 360 DEGS AND A TFC CALLOUT BY DEP. WHEN CLR OF TFC ANOTHER COMMAND BY ATC TO A HDG OF 110 DEGS TO INTERCEPT THE 108 DEG RADIAL FROM BLD VOR AND CONTINUE ON SID. THEN ASKED BY ATC IF WE WERE GIVEN A RADAR VECTOR ON TKOF. WE REPLIED WE WERE GIVEN A HDG OF 060 DEGS AFTER TKOF, NO OTHER DIRECTIONAL COMMANDS. WE WERE REQUESTED BY ATC TO CALL THEM COLLECT. SINCE WE WERE NOT TOLD TO MAINTAIN HEADING OR RADAR VECTORS, WE FOLLOWED PUBLISHED SID AS PREVIOUSLY CLRED.
