Narrative:
During engine magneto check, an oil-induced fire ignited in the engine cowl. Post inspection reveals an oil leak on the #2 cylinder push rods. This cylinder was repaired and installed by an a&P/ia mechanic less than 30 days ago and 6 flying hours. Aircraft right wing spar was delaminated due to heat. All wiring under cowling was destroyed or damaged. This was not classified an accident under NTSB part 830. The spar damage renders the aircraft unairworthy.
