Narrative:
Taxied for takeoff at bur runway 33. I was confused by lights partially across runway at takeoff end. Lights represented a displaced threshold. I thought we were at the end of runway 33 but took off from taxiway G1. It was a very short taxi and I found the airport chart page to be very cluttered. I did not see that taxiway G went fully to the blast fence.

Title: A B737-300 FLC PERFORMS AN UNAUTH INTXN TKOF AT BUR ARPT WHEN THE CAPT CONFUSES THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD LIGHTS FOR RWY END LIGHTS.
Narrative: TAXIED FOR TKOF AT BUR RWY 33. I WAS CONFUSED BY LIGHTS PARTIALLY ACROSS RWY AT TKOF END. LIGHTS REPRESENTED A DISPLACED THRESHOLD. I THOUGHT WE WERE AT THE END OF RWY 33 BUT TOOK OFF FROM TXWY G1. IT WAS A VERY SHORT TAXI AND I FOUND THE ARPT CHART PAGE TO BE VERY CLUTTERED. I DID NOT SEE THAT TXWY G WENT FULLY TO THE BLAST FENCE.
