Narrative:
After departure, I noticed yellow up light was not on. I checked the instrument light switch to make sure it was off. Then I checked the gear motor breaker and found it popped out. I pushed it in and cycled the gear switch to down position. The gear handle in the cabin appeared to go forward all the way. Still no light. The emergency (manual) gear extension was followed. Still no light. I called the tower 10 mi out to ask for a fly-by and a report. I was told the left gear appeared 80% down and the right was at a 45 degree angle. We left the airport area and went through the emergency procedure again. After 2 more fly-by's and 2 more emergency procedures I made the decision to land. We had to fly around for about 20 mins while the emergency crew got in place. I went through the landing procedure, kept down to a minimum final speed. On crossing the threshold everything was shut down and only minimum damage was done to the aircraft.
