Narrative:
At approximately XA00 local, jan/mon/98, experienced a loss of all radar presentations on all scopes in TRACON. Display returned after 3-5 seconds. When reported to supervisor, his reply was that we had experienced a 'power bump' which had registered on the teletype (I don't know what he meant by that), and 'those power bumps happen all the time.' this incident was not put on the facility log. I do not know if maintenance was advised. Power surges do not 'happen all the time,' and when one does occur, there is a reason for it which should be idented.
