Narrative:
Time: XX30Z. Frequency: ZDV. ATC facility: den. Location: ege. During approach to ege when flaps selected to 1 degree, received trailing edge light and flap disagree message on EICAS before completing abnormal procedure. We contacted maintenance technician since aircraft had same problem day before. They advised we should select flaps back up and try normal extension again. Flaps worked normal for landing. Supplemental information from acn 390813: denver ege control, 14000 ft. They advised we should use the alternate system to return flaps to the up position and then try normal flap extension again. Flaps worked normally on the second try and we continued on to land at ege.
