Narrative:
During climb from pit noticed a fuel imbalance. Tried to correct the imbalance through normal procedures, with no success. Declared an emergency and proceeded directly to mdw, using differential thrust to correct the imbalance. Uneventful full stop and taxi to the gate at mdw.

Title: FLC OF A B737-200 DECLARED AN EMER WHEN A FUEL STORAGE IMBALANCE PROB COULD NOT BE CORRECTED ENRTE. FLC USED DIFFERENTIAL THRUST TO HELP CORRECT ACFT ROLL CTL WHILE CONTINUING TO A SUCCESSFUL LNDG.
Narrative: DURING CLB FROM PIT NOTICED A FUEL IMBALANCE. TRIED TO CORRECT THE IMBALANCE THROUGH NORMAL PROCS, WITH NO SUCCESS. DECLARED AN EMER AND PROCEEDED DIRECTLY TO MDW, USING DIFFERENTIAL THRUST TO CORRECT THE IMBALANCE. UNEVENTFUL FULL STOP AND TAXI TO THE GATE AT MDW.
