Narrative:
A pre departure clearance was received and data in FMS amended. The copilot entered additional data that was not challenged. The wrong transition was placed in front of the correct outbound fix. In flight, ATC had to correct the aircraft track with a turn to on course. No conflict noted. The correct fix was gfs, not dag. Contributing factors: 2 pilots entering data, but a misleading pre departure clearance format probably foremost. How discovered: ATC. Corrective action: better CRM, heads up on pre departure clearance format versus ATC.
