A300 aircraft had generator #1 fault, #2 generator picked up AC bus #1, APU started and it picked up the #1 AC bus. Generator #1 was cycled off and on and when that was done, #1 generator faulted again and the APU dropped off the line. Override supp #2 was selected and flight landed with no further electrical problem.

Narrative:
Aircraft was on a ferry flight from tul to jfk. At lendy intersection, was given a descent from FL190 to 16000 ft. As descent was begun, #1 generator faulted and #2 generator picked up AC bus #1 and all electrical busses were pwred normally. The APU was started and it picked up the load on AC bus #1. However, when #1 generator switched was cycled from off back to on, #1 generator faulted again and the APU dropped off the line pwring AC bus #1. After this, selected override supp #2 on and landed without any further electrical problems.

AS DSCNT WAS BEGUN, #1 GENERATOR FAULTED AND #2 GENERATOR PICKED UP AC BUS #1 AND ALL ELECTRICAL BUSSES WERE PWRED NORMALLY. THE APU WAS STARTED AND IT PICKED UP THE LOAD ON AC BUS #1. HOWEVER, WHEN #1 GENERATOR SWITCHED WAS CYCLED FROM OFF BACK TO ON, #1 GENERATOR FAULTED AGAIN AND THE APU DROPPED OFF THE LINE PWRING AC BUS #1. AFTER THIS, SELECTED OVERRIDE SUPP #2 ON AND LANDED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER ELECTRICAL PROBS.
