Narrative:
Routing for flight was pxv-rod-gunne-cmh. Captain was flying. Both pilots had wrong frequency set in 'dqn' versus 'rod' started tracking outbound from dqn approximately 20 mi short of track that should have been flown. Center queried if we were proceeding to rod. An immediate turn was made to correct on course. Queried center if there was a conflict. Center responded no conflict.

Title: AN ACR MD80 FLC TUNED THE WRONG NAVAID FREQ AND TRACKED TO THE WRONG VOR.
Narrative: ROUTING FOR FLT WAS PXV-ROD-GUNNE-CMH. CAPT WAS FLYING. BOTH PLTS HAD WRONG FREQ SET IN 'DQN' VERSUS 'ROD' STARTED TRACKING OUTBOUND FROM DQN APPROX 20 MI SHORT OF TRACK THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FLOWN. CTR QUERIED IF WE WERE PROCEEDING TO ROD. AN IMMEDIATE TURN WAS MADE TO CORRECT ON COURSE. QUERIED CTR IF THERE WAS A CONFLICT. CTR RESPONDED NO CONFLICT.
