Narrative:
We were at 11000 ft just north of bonham and ZFW asked us if we were going to make our crossing restr (ie, karla at 7000 ft) on the bonham 2 arrival. We told him that we were not given karla at 7000 ft but would try to make it anyway and hurry down. We crossed karla at 8300 ft. Center said do the best we could to cross karla at 7000 ft and contact approach. I conferred with my first officer to make sure that we weren't given something (karla at 7000 ft) and I just missed it. He did not hear it either. If we were by some chance given karla at 7000 ft neither of us heard it. He was not very busy at the time so there was no problem with other aircraft.
